January 2019 Chapter Meeting and Luncheon Review
The induction of the new officers for 2019 opened the luncheon. Following that special moment, we had the opportunity for the Director of Sales/Regional Accounting Executive, Michelle Jackson, MBA, CPCU from The Institutes to return and deliver a dynamic presentation entitled “Professional Development Solutions.” The Institute is developing a program that can better educate and prepare entry level individuals who are interested in the insurance field. This program is being designed the help the individual and the employer with assisting in areas of placing someone in the work environment that would better support their interest and educational experience. Another topic that Mrs. Jackson shared was the importance of staying current with the information and requirement with the CPCU. Special highlight was with the CE (continued education) requirements for the CPCU designation. The Columbus CPCU Chapter Board of Directors shared that the Meeting and Luncheons are counted with The Institute as CE time. This is a great way for the CPCU’s to come and support the chapter and receive other benefits at the same time. Members are reminded that they can register for free. Come support the Columbus CPCU Chapter!
