February 2019 Chapter Meeting & Luncheon Review
Wow, what a turnout for the February 2019 Luncheon! It was an honor for us to welcome Mr. Brian Ahearn, CPCU, CTM, CMCT, who is the Chief Influence Officer at Influence PEOPLE. He delivered a powerful presentation on how to “Get PEOPLE to say, Yes!” Mr. Ahearn explained how impactful the first contact from the agent to the customer can be. This first interaction can be a deciding factor with the end decision with the customer. It is suggested that the agent have an awareness of their own circumstances and an understanding of the customer’s current state, which in return, will help set the tone of the conversation that is about to take place. The fact is, by taking the time to set the stage and rethink your approach to make a small change, big impacts can happen. He used the acronym P.E.O.P.L.E. to describe this proven process of success. Powerful, every day opportunities, can pre-suade lasting impacts with ethics. In the process, you must get some brain rules that should consist of how to get the attention of the customer, feel out the mindset of the customer and understanding triggers of what catches the customers mind. Mr. Brian Ahearn closed his presentation with a reminder to remember your goal of getting the customer to say yes, is to make sure to research your bright ideas and use pre-suasive questions to hook your customer.
