We are pleased to share that the Columbus CPCU Chapter is awarding TWO, $2,000 SCHOLARSHIPS for students studying insurance or a related subject. For the 2019/2020 academic year, the Chapter is looking for eligible students studying at a university within 60 miles of Columbus which includes much fewer schools, enhancing your students' opportunities to receive a scholarship.
The scholarship application packet (link below) which allows students to complete the application in Word, add their e-signature and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org along with their unofficial transcript and reference letter(s). This is the preferred approach, but if you have students who prefer to print and complete the application by hand, and then scan and email their materials, there a link for a pdf form below. .
Here are the scholarship eligibility criterion, each of which must be met.
- Undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior or graduate student, attending full-time or part-time.
- Enrolled in an insurance or insurance-related major, minor, specialty or concentration.
- U.S. citizen who has a permanent address in Columbus, or within 60 miles of Columbus (see attached list of eligible zip codes), regardless of the university of attendance OR U.S. citizen, regardless of residency, who is attending one of the following Ohio universities – Franklin University. Ohio Dominican University, Ohio State University (Columbus and Marion campuses), Otterbein University, Cedarville University, or Clark State Community College.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
