August Meeting - Insights 2050: Corridor Concepts

08/13/19 7:00am to 8:30am
300 E Main St
Fisher Hall, Room 168
Columbus,OH 43215

How will Columbus handle the 3M residents expected by 2050? Hear the recently shared responses developed by the organizations below in the Insight 2050: Corridor Concepts report.

  • The Columbus region could grow to 3 million people over the next 30 years. Where will future neighbors live, work, and raise their families? How can we leverage transit infrastructure and development patterns to benefit public health and individual wallets?
  • Central Ohio is at the precipice of a new generation of mobility options that leaders must carefully consider…the age of autonomous vehicles is around the corner. How will emerging technologies impact larger goals to address housing needs and affordability, promote equitable access to opportunity, foster complete communities, and grow in more compact and fiscally efficient ways?
  • As the region grows, how will the Ohio insurance industry need to respond to new housing and transportation solutions?

Speaker: Jennifer Noll, Principal Planner at Mid - Ohio Regional Planning Commission
